[Lcabid] Letters of support

Hi people,

Now, I've heard from others their opinion that letters of support may 
not necessarily be key to winning a bid. I have read through the 
impressive amount of letters the 2010 bid had and I'm sure we can get as 
many, if not more, again.

Being it seems now an easy task as these companies have been approached 
before, maybe it would be a good starting point for our media and 
promotion team member? I'd even be happy to do it if assistance is needed.

I have only looked at the 2010 letters but did not see Red Hat there. 
I'm sure if we approach them this time around they will be helpful.

I hope this is not seen as toe treading, it just looks like a great 
starting point.

BTW, if anybody else has ideas on companies to contact feel free to add 
to this thread.
