Well thank (please insert deity and or 4 letter word here of you're own choosing) that's over. Now onto the real work. Should we post the minutes with the added part that "As a result of a miscount we then had a email vote as per the suggestions of Russell Stuart which ended at 5pm on the 15th of June. Shaun has now been voted to the position of President by a 5 to 4 vote.". I would suggest that we give 24 hours for any response/corrections then post to general.  

Currently testing video compression. ffmpeg looks good. Need to test it through. I would like to use open encoding so I'll give ogg and theora a try. I know that theora's a bit shaky but I hope it matures in time. I also want to really have a good look at mencoder but that doesn't give me the option of ogg/theora encoding from what I can see.   

I have also looked hd camcorders on the net. Sony looks the best but I think nothing beats looking at the real thing. A job for Saturday. I would also like to look at an electronics shop in Bowen Hills. Mark would you be up for some window shopping on Saturday?

Also Shaun I need to setup some way of looking at the setup that QUT has got. I know that right now there are exams on so it it might be difficult however I would like to know what's available. If I can't physically look at the equipment can you give me the specs etc for it.

As a side note I won't be physically available on this coming Sunday but I should be on the net most of the day.
