Interesting.  I didn't see any that looked like they ran Windows, and
all the comments on web sites seemed to assume any device you could buy
ran Linux - or at least something that gives you a shell prompt.  I
suspect now the things cost around $200..$300, the windows tax got too
much to bear.  The tax is applied twice - once with the price, and once
with the hardware required to run it.

Windows 7 is too heavy netbooks and tablets, doesn't exist for ARM based
processors.  Because of the rise and rise of smart phones, TV's, digital
photo frames, media players, routers and utility devices like this if it
isn't already true that more consumer devices are shipped with Linux on
them than Windows, it will be dammed soon.
