General convention from what I know is anybody who was previously a
member of HUMBUG in the past is a renewing member and therefore skips
the 3 month waiting period for voting. Therefore what you are saying
is in essence correct about membership and voting.
Regarding a 'smokescreen' and hidden agenda, I'm quite confident that
there is no basis in fact for such an allegation. Matthew and I have
been discussing revising the membership form and all he was doing was
posting to General to get ideas and gauge opinions, nothing more.

Okay all this stuff about hidden agendas and insults from both sides
should cease as it's pointless and petty. Not only that, it's hiding
what I feel is other issues.
Greg:
Matthew and others feel you are overly critical of this current Exec
compared to previous Exec's and without showing cause for such
criticism. If there any issues you have with the running of HUMBUG
currently, we would love to know.
Matthew:
You have done quite a lot of communication on behalf of HUMBUG and
while I'm grateful for it (as I'm not a prolific emailer), you need to
consult with other Exec members more before firing off emails through
official channels as sometimes either the information may be not-quite-
right or the delivery is off. I feel party responsible for this as
I've been more off-line than on (which is not good for the vice-
president role) and have let these things slide a bit.
I feel other members have 'misinterpreted' what you're saying
sometimes and this causes flaring up over small issues.
In future, other Exec members (such as myself) will help review
correspondence made in any official capacity to the membership to
ensure it reflects what we are saying is correct.
Cheers,
Mark.
