Like Tony, I had heard the Windows version was 'better' than the Linux
version. I am glad to hear that this is not the case.

The main reason I am still seriously considering the Windows option it is
that the target system is a Toshiba M1 Laptop. These have some poorly 
components that are not yet 100% supported by Linux including the
Trident video card (although that may have changed since I looked in
July). :-/ 

On the other hand, I really only need Windows for Office, Visio, and
a handful of IE 6.0 only Intranet Applications. So I am thinking the
performance hit on my Real Work environment may make the pain of
configuration worth my while.
