Hi Tony:

[And many thanks Ewan, Josh, and Brad for their input.]

More likely to be XP than not. Might be W2K. Depends on which one
the corporate standard is up to.

I have had excellent results using CrossOver. So far, no problems
at all. My problem is that my employer now uses a product called
'MyDesktop' as The One And Only Way to install MS software. Needless
to say, it only works with Windows. If I could just get a
(legitimate) CD with a license key there would be no problem.

I have had some problems with the macro heavy Word templates here at
work. I think I was trying an older version of Open Office though,
so things may have improved. There is a political layer problem
here: people are very finicky about documents being written up
according to the template. I have enough stress in my life without
being caught up in

Incidentally -- does anyone know of good UML authoring tools
for Linux? I have tried violet: while it is good for transcribing
composed diagrams into electronic form, I find its interface very
difficult to use when coming up with a design.

Cheers,

Raymond
