Okay, a few printers I've used:
* Canon BJC-6500	(A3 inkjet, parallel-port & USB 1.1)
	Works fine for Black & White printing, but unfortunately the colours
don't come out right. Otherwise, it works as expected. (I'm using the
gimp-print driver IIRC)

* HP LaserJet 2550L	(A4 laser, parallel-port & USB 2.0)
	This printer speaks fluent PostScript, and therefore it should come as
no suprise it works brilliantly with CUPS. On the driver CD, go hunting
for hpb25506.ppd on the driver CD and copy it to /usr/share/cups/model.
 Then, do the usual config in <http://localhost:631/>.

	I've found the PCL6 driver causes text on an A4 page to be squashed up
onto the area the size of an A6 page, but the PS driver works
flawlessly. Colour prints come out absolutely supurb. :-)
