Oh god don't get me started on the limitations of my Mandrake machine. I 
am running 2.55. I have downloaded the RPM for SA 2.63 but that requires 
a later version of perl-base. I then downloaded the later perl-base RPM.

Mandrake 9.2 won't let me install it because it has heaps of 
dependencies. I would have to remove all those apps, install the new 
perl-base, then re-install those apps crossing my fingers they would 
accept the new perl-base.

Another option would be to install perl-base using the "--no-deps" 
option but they have the dependency checking for a reason. I could also 
download the perl-base source RPM and rebuild it, but I have had 
problems I couldn't work out in the past and I am not motivated enough 
to work through them.

I know Mandrake isn't the best distro to use on a server and that is why 
I am getting familiar with Gentoo on my workstation before I do anything 
to the server.

Maybe I will be able to install SA 2.63, Mozilla 1.6, firefox and 
thunderbird on my machine when MDK 10.0 comes out.
