I have been at that level for a while now. One day I am going to have
to get off my bum and do something about it. My current plan is to move
to a white list system. Ie - I have a white list (perhaps implemented
as a procmail script?), and mail doesn't match the while list gets
bounced with a suitable message and a URL. If they click the URL then
the message gets 'unbounced'. It would be nice to add a few "self
maintaining" tricks, like harvesting "valid email addresses" from email
I send and receive so I don't have to remember to update the list
myself.
I am positive I am not the first person to think of this. Someone,
probably many someone's, have done this, made it work, and packaged the
result as an open source project. Anyone know its name?
