I have a fairly mixed network at home, consisting of Mac's, Linux 
machines and Windows boxen. (There's usually a bsd box in there too).

For general user type stuff I use a mix of cifs (samba/windows) and 
scp/sftp.

For the occasional special purpose thing I have a WebDAV location setup 
too.
