Hi,
I am using php and mysql to create mail merge documents. The php application
is basically a contact management and financial system which I have written
for the company I work for.
I use openoffice to create rtf documents with tokens I can search for and
overwrite with the real information e.g. <<FName>> would become say John.
This works great for single documents and normal users can easily create
their own rtf documents with the tokens they want. However I would like to
keep appending documents to the end of each other so that they can print
multiple mail merge documents at the same time.
This seems to be giving troubles due to the rtf formating. I would like to
strip out the information that states the beginning and end of the documents
so I can keep appending documents to the end of each other and then manually
put it back before using the document.
If anyone could point me to documentation on the rtf format or php
classes/functions that help handle this then that would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Anthony Irwin
