What he says is true about Epson printers.  I have one, as does a
friend.  I think they produce the best quality output (for an inkjet),
but if they sit idle you have to print several pages before they start
working again.  It can get expensive.

I don't know about HP, but Cannon's don't appear to suffer from the
problem.
