I use a TPG ADSL plan for my business email and web server, the plan I
have has a static ip. I have only experienced one major outage so far,
which was something like 11 hours, but that was due to someone severing
their main link. I have no complaints otherwise, although I have heard
that there have been disgruntled people (check
http://www.whirlpool.net.au which is also a good place in general to
look for broadband options and opions). However at the moment, I only
use this for email and hosting a relatively unvisited website, I don't
surf the web with this link, I currently am using cable for that
(Bigpond, lots of outages, but telstra is now giving discounts on bad
months, and its so much faster than adsl, i.e I can get distros from the
free telstra dowload site at 21 mins per cd ; ) , 565KB/s is the best I
have ever achieved ) .
cheers
