I want to add in a cd burner to my current Pentium II system (running
SuSe 8.0) but am having trouble verifying what current CD burners on the
market are OK for Linux use.
I have been looking at the latest ASUS CRW-4824A (48x/24x/52x) but am
not sure if Linux is OK with this. I have searched Redhat and SuSe
databases but there is no specific mention of this drive.

I have managed to find an article under, linuxrefresher.com, that
suggested a SONY is the way to go but again with no specific models. So
I am looking at the CRX210A1 (48x/12x/48x) and the CRX220A1
(52x/24x/52x) if this are compatible.

Any suggestions as what to look for ??
