[H-GEN] vnc ports?

Can anyone tell me which ports I need to open in a firewall to allow vnc 
access?

Scenario:
me in the office on Mandrake 9.1 (corporate firewall)
Windows 2000 Pro at home behind router/firewall (this pc runs a vnc server)
(ultimately also want to connect to a Linux box behind the same firewall)

I thought I might be able to ssh to the router or direct to the pc if I knew 
enough details. I'm a bit green, so speak clearly  :-)
