I can't remember the last time something crashed in KDE for me. I get
lots of crashes in windows, but very few in KDE 3.1 .... maybe I am just
lucky or maybe I choose my applications carefully enough that I'm using
relatively stable programs.

KMail -- a few bugs, but I think most of them are my own fault.
Mozilla -- never noticed a bug and I think it's only crashed twice
KMerlin -- no bugs, no crashes. Runs way better than MSN Messenger in
windows does
mplayer -- when I use it correctly it works great
komba -- only 'bugs' were things I caused myself by not using the
program the way it's designed to be used
konquerer -- works great
d4x (a great program similar to getright/flashget) -- crashed a few
times, but I think I'm using the development source
xmms -- surprisingly, I've yet to experience a crash. a lot of ppl
complain about xmms but I've not had major problems with it. no more
than with aol-spyware-player... er I mean winamp.

I use a few other programs, but these are my main ones. On the whole, I
find KDE to be a lot more stable than windows. I just wish I had a
decent enough cpu/video card to run diablo 2 under wine. And I wish
Adobe would, as its next linux release, port over Premiere. I don't have
DV so Kino/Cinelerra are not really any use for me. (The cinelerra
homepage states dual athlon 2gig cpus as the minimum requirements...?!)
