Yeah, I really think I wouldn't want to do this on the same disk as
I'm using now---even if just because the disk is *already* far too
small and I worry about running out of space.

My *next* system will be fully volume managed so I can grow partitions
as they start getting full (I think 40G disks are a bit much for just
one person, anyway).
