My bad, you are quite correct, it's a standard patch cable.  (The
one I'm using on it happens to be the same grey colour that I have
for some of my xovers.  And besides, the thing has now become dusty
and wedged half-buried under a couple of hubs and a printer :)

You can trash-can that, apologies for apparently bring on a mild

Ahh, I feel so much safer to see that.  But hey, does it run on a
linux/unix box? :)
