OK, this is back on the original topic before it got hijacked by
the list meta discussion ...

I initially just asked nicely for a refund of the shipping fees
and they said:

I have since drawn their attention to the ACCC page referred to
above and suggested that their disclaimer has no legitimacy.
They then referred it to "management"; later they told me that
they had decided to refer it to the ACCC and Victorian Consumer
Affairs for guidance. They want me to wait a week or so to give
them time to find out where they stand.
Personally, I don't know why they don't just refund me the $6.30
to make me like them. It won't break their bank and they can
still find out what they want from the ACCC so they are better
informed next time somebody comes back to them with a similar
request.
As it is, the longer they drag it out, the less likely I am to
go back to them for future purchases or to recommend them to any
other potential customers. Seems silly, from a business point
of view.
Anyway, I shall wait for their response and I'll report it here
when the saga has run its course.
Cheers, Greg
