Floppy boot and nfsroot mount.  No problem.  Can run what you want.

Option 3 is etherboot is viable.  I much prefer this to floppy boot as
floppies are too prone to failure.  You can nfsroot mount following the
etherboot & run what you want (lpd, lpd & samba, etc).

If Option 3 isn't available, then option 2.
