Well I would have already purchased an iBook except Apple wants to charge 
the earth for a model, with very little flexibility in their offering.  I 
really would like a minimum 14.1" screen, and a minimum of 512Mb RAM.  Both 
Toshiba and Dell offer that for <$4000, while as far as I can tell Apple 
will want closer to $5000 for that privilage.  Not that this is exclusive 
to Apple, my next stop was IBM who suffers from the same inflexibility.
