Hi all,

After many months of trying to download Linux, I finally got my hands on a burnt copy of Mandrake 8.2. Anyway, I made the transition from Windows and found myself, with limited experience, trying to setup an internet connection. I filled in everything I knew without success. I rang Telstra and they didn’t seem to want to help with anything Linux related. From there I searched through the Bigpond website and found http://www.bigpond.com/Home/Support/Tools/Config/. This answered a few of my questions but not all. I was hoping someone here could help me out.

I need to know what sought of authentication Bigpond uses and the domain name. I am presuming that the connection name is Bigpond.

Thanks,
Peter.
