Just how slow is it being? Is the repository local or elsewhere on
the network?
I have my linux kernel sources stored in CVS (thank you SGI) and the
speed killer (remember I'm on a modem here) for the "cvs update"
operation is CVS basically statting every file to make sure it doesn't
need to patch it.

I've been toying with the idea of checking out (heh heh) SCCS (as
implemented by CSSC) for the last few days, but I'll probably stick
with what I've got.
