This group started up a while back but we haven't heard much from them (or
anything?). I think we formally contacted them but got no reply. Humbug
has certainly been considered a defacto LUG for many many years (but I'm
glad we have the broader focus).
There's a new LUG on the Gold Coast which seems very Humbug-like in its
meetings (from what I've read). I intend to visit one day. I wouldn't be
surprised if its founders had visited Humbug at some stage. The founder
of the previous GC LUG (really a Bond Uni LUG) certainly visited Humbug
several times for advice on starting a LUG, etc. I think in the end Bond
didn't have the critial mass to start a LUG at the time (must have been
1998 or so).
