Indeed, I made this statement :)  The only caveat is that I referred to it
as the only "low end" tape technology that did this.  I know next to
nothing about any tape technology above the DLT family except that I know
they store lots & are very expensive :)

Unfortunately I have no idea.  Never had the fortune to play with LTO.
