There was a statement or two made about the superiority of the DLT
technology, mainly because of the lack of contact between the tape and the
read/write heads.
Is this statement equally valid regarding LTO technology?
Is there any feature of LTO technology that may make it a better solution
than DLT (other than tape capacity) ?
I realise that question is a little open-ended, but I'm still trying to learn
about this stuff and the web sites of the manufacturers of this gear seem to
assume you already know all about the technology. :-(
