If its anything like my cd-burner, (which is ide though). I have to append
/dev/hdc=ide-scsi
in lilo and make sure scsi support is enabled in the kernel to be able to use
it. ide-scsi is a module, and a quick search on google shows there is a usb-scsi
module too. The the final scsi device should be shown in dmesg from bootup. You
can also try cdrecord -scanbus, which will show all scsi devices present.
