Is there a simpler command line editor than emacs? I don't use the Linux box
enough to remember the complex emacs command sequences. The Linux box is the
central server and just sits there and does its job. I only need to edit
simple scripts. In many cases I am doing the editing from a remote Windows
machine using telnet. All I need is to be able to cut and paste, insert,
delete, open and save. Surely that is not too difficult. Anyone have any
suggestions? We live in hope.

Doug.
