[H-GEN] lilo down, I'm bummed

Ok, I'm assuming you know which partition you've installed linux onto. Boot 
with a rescue disk, then at the prompt type the following:
rescue root=/dev/hda2 boot=/dev/hda
(this is assuming your linux partition is /dev/hda2, if not, substitute the 
correct settings)
when u get into linux, log in as root and type:
lilo
at the prompt. this should restore your master boot record. If you're 
concerned it hasn't been set up correctly by Mandrake, try having a look at 
/etc/lilo.conf and checking over your settings.
Btw, how'd u get Mandrake to use lilo and not grub? I recently installed 
8.1 and I didn't get a choice :-(
