Didn't Telstra give everybody with ADSL a 50% discount on service costs for
a couple of months as some form of compensation. Great for those that have
it but not much use if you are still waiting for it!

Oh well there is a class action on at present too but I suspect that will
have application only to those that are already connected.

I have found that Pacific Internet DSL is very good...dearer than Telstra
but I have recently installed a network onto a 1.5 GHz connection ... 1 Gb
free download limit tho. It has been running 24/7 for about 2 months without
any major problem. I do not know for sure but I suspect that they use
Telstra multiplexers, so if Telstra do not have capacity I imagine the other
suppliers dont either...then there is the possibility that they do have
their own equipment.
