Hi All,
I have just installed RedHat 7.0 and most things went smoothly. However, it
detected only my VIA-Rhine based card, and not my NE2000 card. This is a
tad annoying as I don't know how to add a card manually, nor where to give
it the IO=0x300 option. I should have learned this by now, but every time I
have installed Mandrake in the past, the install program has had a place to
select your NICs, and I have never had to manually add a card.
This is also making life difficult as I want to set this box up as a
firewall behind my Telstra cable modem, and therefore need this NE2000 card
to be a DHCP client.
Another thing is that I am unable to find a DHCP server on the CD-ROM. This
is needed to drive DHCP out on the internal card (VIA-Rhine) to my other
boxes.
Any and all help appreciated.
Regards,
Hiton Travis
