I think you would be best advised to do it in Win. You dont need to take
it out of the box. Just make a (Win) boot disk with defrag on it and
boot from the floppy. Then do a defrag of C: or whatever the disk is.
Windows will probably see the disk as C: because (assuming it is the
only FAT disk on the box) Windows will not see a partition on the Linux
disks and will thus not "see" them.
