Define 'large'.
Humbug: ~8meg
APNIC: ~80meg
FreeBSD: ~800meg
When using all of the above trees, the only problems I've found have been
user-error, ie, screw up the command line. Aborting a cvs operation can,
at times, lead to stray lines in the CVS/Entries files (in your directory,
not in the repository), particularly rm'ing trees rather than
'cvs release -d module'
