Logical partitions get renumbered when one is removed, so try /dev/hda6 as
the boot partition perhaps.

Probably should boot off a floppy in case /etc/fstab causes problems
during boot as a result of partitions being renamed (likely).

Assuming there is damage to the superblock, it is important to be aware of
the following procedure for superblock recovery:

Boot off a boot floppy and force a fsck.  If it fails, then do a fsck
using an alternative superblock.  To do this, use fsck -b 8193.
alternative copies of the superblock are kept in each block s where
s = 8192n+1,  n= 1,2,3...

So do a fsck -b 8193, then fsck -b 16385,etc until u get one that works or
you run out of superblock copies.
