[H-GEN] sound problems

Hiya!

I am having problems setting up my soundcard.  It is a Soundblaster 16 PnP,
which appears to be supported, and is in fact detected when i use sndconfig.
however, when it tests the sound it does not work, giving an error (no
special error, just that there is one).  My IRQ's etc seem to be ok.  any ideas?
