Doesn't this kind of thing make you sick?
I discovered today that MS have released <sarcasm> "ground breaking
technology" yet again </sarcasm>.
It seems that it occurred to someone in Redmond that the ability to
use your company's quad processor Pentium pro with 4GB of RAM to do
something novel like... oh I don't know, actually run programs, might
be a good idea. So they have released their own version of
X-windows^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Windows terminal server called Hydra.
What an original idea!
What upset me most was the statement:
"The Benefits: Terminal Server brings the Windows experience to
desktops that can't run Windows today.... Delivers 32-bit
Windows-based applications to wide range of heterogeneous legacy
desktops, including UNIX, Macintosh, or older DOS and Windows-based
PCs which cannot be upgraded to 32-bit Windows due to hardware
limitations."
<rant>
I want to know when UNIX became a "legacy desktop" which couldn't be
"upgraded" to windows due to "hardware limitations"!!! I don't know
about you guys, but I'm somewhat offended at this statement!
</rant>
Just my $0.02 worth.

All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.
