CDE is just a window manager and session manager.  Although I have never
tried it myself, it should be possible to get CDE to work with any X
server.  A bit of script hacking may be required.  The Xm library will
work fine.  You will need to keep the Xlib that comes with Solaris since
that is what dtwm and Xm, etc. are linked against.
