Programs developed for the Newton are stored internally (in flash memory).
There is no need for a PCMCIA card, nor has there ever been.

The full SDK (called Newton Toolkit - NTK) is also available for Windows,
and it is now *FREE*.  See: http://www.newtoninc.com/dev/ntklicense.html
You just have to get used to programming in NewtonScript.
