I believe that Newton's can be programed using a Pascal-like language
called NewtonScript. Development platforms exist for the Mac or you can
write your programs and run them on the Newton. The DSTC is working on
some tools to program in NewtonScript under UNIX.

The Pilot seems to have better PC support. A friend of mine mumbled about
CodeWarrior targeting the Pilot, but I can't confirm this.
