Hi Michael.

I switched to linux debian gnome in approximately February 2021.

You can use "Wine" in linux, to run windows software. Everything I have tried
has worked so far, but, whether it works, partly depends on your computing
expertise, so, where it worked for me, it might not work for someone else.

So effectively I have the best of both worlds. The advantage of a large
selection of free linux software, combined with ability to run expensive
windows software when there is nothing equivalent in linux.

I am still awaiting for the 'Darling' macintosh emulator, a wine equivalent
for macintosh, to support GUI applications, which it presently basically
doesn't, if they get it fully working, then I would be able to run macintosh
applications under linux debian gnome.

I wondered whether macintosh is prone to crashes, in which case, how would
they resolve that issue, when emulating macintosh under linux, to avoid linux
from crashing the operating system of linux, since usually linux is quite
stable, with the kinds of things i have done?

Jevan.
