Which they did when a previous president choofed off to Canada.  That is
how John Ferlito became president.  They have nominations for all other
positions, so it doesn't look like serious problem.  The previous time
it was under a different constitution, but clearly as a group they are
up to the arm twisting required to force someone to take on the job.

Having a field of candidates is good in one way, because otherwise a
random can take advantage of the situation by nominating themselves for
president at the last minute and be elected unopposed.  But otherwise I
look at this as a sign of health.  People aren't taking these positions
on as an ego trip.  They are carefully considering the work involved and
what they can bring to the table, and only nominating where they believe
they can make a positive difference.
