The reason is Russell has no idea of the amount of work involved, and he
isn't given to making open ended commitments he may not be able to keep.
I nominated myself to be an Ordinary Committee Member so I can spy on
what happens.  If I'm elected as an OCM, and then if the LA treasurer
job looks manageable, I'm nominate myself next year.
