dialix actually. this was back in 1997 tho and i hear they've been gone for
ages now. but i could check the status of my dialin connection at home by
running finger. it would actually tell me if i was still dialled into the
system. if i was however, and i telnetted in, i would lose my home
connection due to concurrent logins. interesting nobody else has this tho.
