Installing on Proliants can be fun. I'm a Debian biggot so I can't
help too much with the RH stuff. Search the Compaq site, they have
destructions on installing Linux onto Proliants. It's a while since
I've done it but there are certain hoops you need to leap through. If
you want to try debian then the "compact" install floppies will do the
trick, they include the drivers required to make the disk array
controller work.
