i downloaded it last week. it loads slower than soffice 5.2 and seems to
crash on most docs that soffice 5.2 works on.



Well, it is still in beta



i must qualify this by saying i only use these things to read the
occasional ms word or excel file someone sends me. abiword seems to
have as much success with the word files than either oo or so.




Abiword seems to be a good option when I have used it and Gnumeric
spreadsheet works quite well for me too. My understanding was that KOffice
was using Abiword as its wordprocessor.
