Thanks Ben. That helps me somewhat, as I'm virtually clueless as to what
I'm doing. I cannot find any reference to lpd in any logs. But ps -ax
shows that lpd IS running. lpc status shows:
queuing is enabled
printing is enabled
no entries
no daemon present
for all printers. lpc start lp says:
printing enabled
daemon started
but status still says:
queuing is enabled
printing is enabled
no entries
no daemon present
Should there be a daemon present?
