Egad, another mob doing the same thing, right down to being open source

This lot are almost local - they are based in NZ, and already have some
relationship with iiNet. If you have an wireless router supplied by
iiNet or D-Link, you may already have their firmware installed. There
look to be lots and lots of their AP's around Brisbane.
The only one minor problem is: they charge more than Optus mobile per
byte, and data you purchase expires faster. I personally wouldn't touch
them with a 40' barge pole.
Now for the twist: they are a roaming partner for BT's (British Telecom)
WiFi network, which is based on ... FON.
By the look of the list at the on the bottom of this page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BT_Openzone the roaming agreements between
man+dog there is already a captive portal borg assimilating the WiFi
AP's around the planet as we speak.
