I haven't really managed to figure out a way of preventing the Ubuntu live CD from attempting to automount my hard drive yet. One other option is to try another live CD -- preferably one that is very basic -- I don't even need X11, just e2fsck and GNU parted. Any suggestions? The smaller the better, as I don't want to use up my ADSL monthly download quota too quickly :-)
