It's also rather inaccessible to those who don't work in Brisbane CBD
(or live nearby). To take public transport into that part of Brisbane
would take me over an hour. To drive it takes 30-40mins not including
trying to find somewhere to park. At the day/time it's held this is not
feasible as I have a young family I need to get fed and off to bed.

This is probably not the reason for everyone else not attending, but if
Meta was held in different locations once in a while and one of them was
near to me I'd be much more inclined to attend. I suspect this is also
the case with other members, especially those who work from home or
outside the CBD.

Most libraries have meeting rooms which can be hired free or cheap. I
would be happy to chip in a small amount towards the cost of hiring a
meeting room if it cost money to do so in order to attend a meeting
nearer to my home once in a while. (I'm specifically thinking of either
Logan North library or Marsden library, both of which are newer
libraries with all the bells and whistles one comes to expect from a
really well thought out public centre.)
