The Dell XPS 15 is a grunty consumer laptop.  It has the nVidia GT 435m 
graphics chipset in it.  I'm looking at maybe dual booting mine (if it 
ever arrives, I ordered and paid for it over 3 weeks ago and Dell is yet 
to finish building it - and they've so far EOLed parts in the build 
twice) with Win 7 x64 and a Linux distro optimized for multimedia 
content generation - any suggestions on the best distro for this?
